The 'Gletscherrestaurant Freiwandeck" is located on the "Kaiser Franz-Josefs Höhe" 2,369 m above sea level and ending point of the Glacier Street (Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse). In the nearby museum and info point you can find out all about the 'Grossglockner', the construction of the high-alpine road and many other information. You also can take the historical cable car to the glacier and discover the eternal ice or start a small or larger trail within the wonderful landscape.Our house was build in 1969 and is a family business run by three generations. Since then we strive to serve guests from all over the world to their full satisfaction.
